Which skills and or resources would a good manager possess?

Managers should first and foremost be dedicated to, believe in and get along well with the artist they are working with. Besides this they should be good business people as they AdKids will most likely be handling the artist’s finances (unless they allready have an accountant). They should be personable which will come into play when they ensure harmonious dealings with promoters and the like (Ad Kids).

A good level of connectedness in the business is very helpful since who you know can be just as important as what you know. Having a good head on their shoulders and problem solving aptitudes are also key traits as there will be issues spanning an array of fields and circumstances that a manager will have to be satisfied with Ad Kids Inc. Organization is also important as they are responsible for keeping the artist’s career in order. Unless the artist has hired others to fill the positions, a manager will more often function as their tour manager as well which demands a great deal of focus and preparedness. Many of these traits are inherent in certain personalities and others are gained through experience. Therefore, previous experience and references are assets in selecting a manager (Ad Kids).
